Polly on my shoulder
We stayed in the parrot enclosure for ages, interacting with the birds. This beautiful one wouldn’t leave Matt alone choosing to sit on his shoulder instead of the tree.

Visiting the nursery
We paid a visit to the nursery to see lots of chicks and baby ducklings in the incubators. They didn’t mind being held either, they must be very used to it.

Hiding in the bushes
This gorgeous-looking bird was hiding in the trees but you can just about see him in this shot. We think some of the more bolshy tourists scared him away!

Birds of Prey show
Today we took a trip to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast. We attended a free flight bird show and it was certainly an eye opener!
